ARTWORK
I have been drawing ever since I can remember.

I went to school as an English major, have a BA from UCSB. I first exhibited my art in a gallery at the San Diego Fine Arts Gallery (they used to have an art sales and rental room within the gallery devoted to locals). Then at the San Diego Arts Institute, next at the Modern Art Gallery in La Jolla (they also once had an arts and rental hall), and then at a number of one man shows throughout San Diego, then part of touring shows that went to many galleries around the world, including I enjoyed teaching beginning drawing at the UCSD Crafts Center the last four years until the university closed them down. I tutor single student art classes at the studio here in Clairemont.

I teach basic drawing skills, how to use lines to suggest depth and shading, contour lines and cross hatching, shading skills using the grain of different papers, using charcoal and stomps as well as different kinds of pencils, using perspectives, dry brushing and stippling techniques, portraiture, marbling techniques, watercolor and acrylic painting.

MUSIC
I also teach beginning and intermediate guitar, pop, blues, or jazz. I love to get young minds excited about learning music, and provide solid basics and theory.

POETRY
After Elizabeth passed from our world, I found solace in writing. I became inspired by Elizabeth's journal poetry, and begin writing poetry again, and have participated in some public events, and have been published.
